Artillery
  1. This is an extremely rare base and sabot section of a Confederate 3'' Selma Read shell.  The very thick brass sabot is completely intact with the iron base and even has the flame groove in the sabot.  The base is the Selma Arsenal type that is bulbed with a classic Confederate lathe dimple.  Neat Artillery relic.  $89.

  2. This is a cool and very nice example of a Confederate 12lb. side loader filled with case shot.  The brass fuse adapter is in wonderful shape as well as the lead side plug.  The real neat thing about this shell is the manufacturing flaw where the mold seam came together.  What then was crude craftsmanship is a beauty mark for true southern collectors.  Excavated at Petersburg, Virginia.  $395.

  3. Here is a great 1'' iron canister shot from the historical ''Battle of Murfreesboro''.  These were very deadly as they were scattered across the battlefield.  $6.

  4. This is a great example of a Confederate manufactured 3'' long pattern Read / Broun Artillery shell.  This shell has the copper fuse adapter intact and the classic lathe dimple in the base.  The copper / brass sabot was thrown on firing due to a design flaw which is quite common in Confederate shells.  This shell is safe and has been disarmed. The small sticker on the shell says that it was dug at Petersburg, Virginia.  $395.
