  1. This is a cool 3'' Confederate copper / brass sabot to a 3'' Confederate Read shell.  This is a chilling reminder of ''The Battle Of Shiloh''.  $20.

  2. This is a neat 3'' Confederate Read shell.  This is a real rare pattern believed to be made at the Selma Arsenal in Alabama.  When fired this shell threw the sabot as many Confederate shells, due to a design flaw in the tail section and inferior metal.  As you can see this shell did not explode and landed nose first.  The fuse remains in the shell but is badly boogered.  You can see the remnants of the lathe dog.  The base has the classic Confederate lathe dimple and a diamond pattern believed to be a design of Selma.  ''This shell has been drilled and is safe!''  This is a great Confederate shell that was fired in the south's defense.  Recovery site not known.  $360.

  3. This is a cool Confederate boreman fuse found in Nashville, Tennessee.  It has the classic hi lip and the numbers on the fuse start at the half second mark.  You can see where the fuse was punched around the 5 second mark.  When the shell burst the fuse was blown clear of the ball.  These are desirable fuses and can be quit costly.  $85.

  4. This is a nice example of a Confederate long pattern 3'' Read / Broun shell for the Confederate 3'' rifle.  As you can see the copper sabot was thrown when fired as lots of Confederate shells , due to a design flaw.  The copper fuse adapter is present which is a major plus.  THIS SHELL HAS BEEN DISARMED AND IS SAFE!  This shell was excavated at Petersburg, Virginia.  $400.

  5. This is an excellent 3'' short pattern Confederate Broun shell for the 3 inch rifle.  This shell retains 2/3 of it sabot which is great as lots completely threw the sabot when fired due to flaws in design.  The copper fuse adapter is present.  THIS SHELL HAS BEEN DISARMED AND IS SAFE.  This is a quite rare and desirable Confederate shell.  Excavated by Henry Story in Dinwiddie County Virginia right outside of Richmond, Virginia.  $645.

  6. Here is a real cool completely intact Confederate Read shell sabot.  The Confederate shells were notorious for throwing the sabot.  You can still see the lands and grooves from the rifling when fired.  This is a great southern relic as is or it could be used to restore as shell.  $32.

  7. This is a quite rare little Confederate L - type primer.  They got there name as the Confederates produced these by mitering the top at a 45 degree angle.  This fired example was excavated at Rocky Face, Georgia.  $22.

  8. Cool brass Confederate under plug fuse for a spherical shell.  This relic was found at Rocky Face, GA.  $25.
