Buttons
  1. This is a beautiful and quite rare 22mm South Carolina local coat button.  This button adorns a smooth brown patina and there is not one dent in it.  The shank is missing but the condition more than makes up for that.   A great southern made button that anyone would be proud to own.  $175.

  2. This is a neat set of domed penny buttons dug in a Spring Hill, Tennessee Confederate campsite.  One is coat sized and the other is an overcoat size.  Both are in excellent shape with shanks intact and a lovely green patina.  Nice brass relics.  $15.

  3. This is a beautiful North Carolina coat button with the starburst pattern.  This button is slightly bent but the NC stands out wonderful with a great emerald green patina.  The shank is missing as most all of them due to the fact that they were lightly soldered on an did not hold to hard usage.  This is a beautiful button that was found in Richmond, Virginia.  $135.

  4. This is a real attractive Confederate two piece ''I'' coat button.  The ''I'' denoting Infantry stands out proud with a pretty plum colored patina.  The iron back is stable and complete with the shank present.  Excavated from the Battle of Nashville.  $95.

  5. Very rare little 16mm. ''Houston Depot button''.  This little solid one piece button is strictly a Trans Mississippi area relic and hard to come by.  This little Texas beauty came from the Vicksburg Campaign.  The Texas jackets closely resembled the 1840 Dragoon style jackets and they took a smaller size button as this one. This is a beautiful Texas made button displaying the letters ''CS''.  $595.

  6. This is a cool Confederate Infantry button.  The iron back is mostly there with a small chunk missing and you can still see the shank is intact.  This button was dug in a Confederate campsite in Tullahoma, Tennessee.  $60.

  7. This is a very nice civilian button that falls under the floral button category.  This coat size basket weave design button was found in a Confederate camp in south Alabama.  A lovely patina adorns this button and the shank is intact as well.  Great relic.  $15.

  8. This crude Confederate cast ''I'' button was dug in Shelbyville, Tennessee.  These buttons are hard to beat for the price as they are solid as a rock and a true Confederate classic.  $135.

  9. Here we have a very beautiful Confederate used 1 piece floral button.  This button is coat sized and has a lot of gold on the front and back highlighting this wonderful design.  The shank is intact on this solid button.  This would be a colorful addition to any button collection.  Excavated in a Confederate camp site near Saylers Creek, Virginia.  $29.

  10. This is a rare beautiful 22.4mm coat sized Regimental button believed to be ''Ashland Grays''.  It was once believed that it was ''Atlanta Guards'' as they were found in Confederate sites occupied by Georgia and Virginia troops. The ''Ashland Grays'' were a Virginia militia unit formed in 1860 and they served with the 15th Virginia.  A picture surfaced showing an identified member of this unit wearing a hat adorned with small letters ''AG''.  Where once thought to be ''Atlanta Guards'' none have been found near Atlanta and the Atlanta Guards was formed well after the war started.  This rare beauty was found in Fredericksburg, VA and has a great dark patina.  The button also has the early ''Steele and Johnson'' backmark.  Shank is missing in action.  This is a fine addition to an advanced Southern button collection.  $595.

  11. This is a very beautiful one piece floral pattern with a star design.  This button was recovered from a Confederate campsite in Wartrace, Tennessee.  $22.

  12. This is a very nice non dug coat size eagle ''I'' button.  This beauty has a nice mellow patina and displays with the best of them.  $29.

  13. Very pretty coat size Louisiana local button.  This beauty has gold in all the right spots.  As you can see the back is pushed down on one side but still attached with the original shank.  This is a nice southern classic.  $265.On Hold

  14. This is a nice North Carolina ''Star Burst'' coat button.  This button was dug in Spring Hill, Tennessee along the Army Of Tennessee's route to the Battle of Franklin.  As usual the shank is missing as is the case with 99% of dug examples.  This is a great relic.  $95.On Hold
